'The Neuk'

"A stormy, heart-breaking period

in Scottish history"

Here I wanted to represent a turbulent period in Scottish history where many 'highland' people were evicted from their homes by landlords only to be replaced by sheep.

'Stormy' times indeed, hence the black sky and the orange thatch representing the fact that many of their homes were burnt to the ground to prevent them returning.

To this day, it led to Scotland's heritage being being spread to the four winds all across the know world.
